Uncovering Facts about Anapolon

By , November 23, 2010

Anapolon, which also goes by several other names including Oxymetholone, Anadrol, Anasteron, Gemodenin and many more, is a synthetic anabolic steroid.  Anabolic steroids are drugs that increase protein synthesis in cells, resulting in the buildup of cellular tissues, especially in muscles.

Anapolon steroids have been the strongest oral steroid, often prescribed to treat patients with anemia caused by deficiency in red blood cells.

The androgenic and anabolic properties of Anapolon steroid also have dramatic muscle-building capabilities; that’s why Anapolon has been a popular choice of oral steroids among bodybuilders and athletes.  Many athletes and bodybuilders claim that their strength and muscle mass increases have been very substantial within a short period of time.  Weight gain is approximately 10 to 15 pounds within two weeks.  The Anapolon oral steroidal compound increases the number of red blood cells, which in turn, enables the muscles to absorb more oxygen.

Brand Names

As mentioned earlier, Anapolon goes by many different names.  One of the most popular is Anapolon 50, which is the US brand name for this powerful and potent oral steroid.  This steroidal compound was first made available in 1960 by an international drug company called Syntex.  The compound can be injected or taken as Anapolon tablets.

Other brand names include Anadrol 50, Anadrolon 50, Plenastril, Durabolin 50 and Oxytozone 50.
